Costiva is an ongoing, non-commercial project inspired by students of the Certificate Program in Applied Generative AI at the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering. There's no charge for the service, and your data is only ever used to show you your own costs.

We designed Costiva so your numbers are visible to you and no one else. Here's the commitment, in plain terms.
Never used to train models
Your usage, cost, hypotheses, and KPIs are never used to train Costiva, Anthropic's models, or anyone else's. We don't sell or broker your data.
It remains your own
Your organization's data is isolated to your account. You can disconnect your key or ask us to delete your data at any time.
Read-only, and encrypted at rest
Costiva connects with a read-only Admin key — it can see usage and cost, never send prompts or spend money. Stored keys are encrypted at rest.
Nothing shared without your consent
We will never publish, quote, or share anything about your organization without your explicit, written permission — see below.
An applied-AI research project
Costiva grew out of the Certificate Program in Applied Generative AI at the Johns Hopkins Whiting School of Engineering — inspired by students exploring how small businesses can actually measure the return on their AI spend.
It's a learning-driven, non-commercial project. We'd rather help teams understand their Claude costs and ROI than charge for it, so the service is free while the project is ongoing.
Costiva is an independent project and is not officially affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Johns Hopkins University.
If Costiva helps, we might ask — only if you say yes
If you see real ROI on your AI investment, we may reach out and ask whether you'd share your story as a public-facing use case. That's the only thing we'd ever ask of you in return.
It is entirely at your discretion — there is no obligation, and saying no changes nothing about your access. We will never publish anything about you or your organization without your explicit, written consent, and you approve exactly what's shared.
