Rate Limit & Capacity Planner
See your projected peak traffic against your actual rate limits, how long until you hit them, and exactly what to change before you do.
Get started-
Projects peak — not just average — traffic against your actual RPM and TPM limits, since averages hide the bursts that actually trigger a 429.
-
Gives concrete, ready-to-use numbers: a recommended concurrency setting and a full backoff/retry configuration, not just a warning.
-
Models an actual traffic burst and shows the queue depth it produces, so "add a queue" comes with a real number attached instead of being generic advice.
Frequently asked questions
None — every figure here is arithmetic against the numbers you enter, including your own account's rate limits. No model call is made.
In the Anthropic Console, under Settings → Limits — see Anthropic's rate limits documentation for the full explanation of how tiers and limits work.
Unlike model pricing, rate limits are per-account and per-tier — there is no public, verifiable source for what YOUR account's limits are, so this tool asks you directly rather than guessing or showing a generic default that might not match your account.
From Little's Law: concurrent in-flight requests ≈ arrival rate × how long each request takes to complete. Response time is estimated from your stated output size (a documented assumption, shown in the notes) since this tool doesn't measure your actual latency.
